Are You a professional? Really?

Hello Darlings,

Are You a professional? Really? Let us see what a professional is…a person who lives what he/she preaches and delivers what is paid or engaged for. Who’s parameters are high and whose criteria meet even better the expectations. And the timeline is honored too. So doing the right thing at the right time with the right result and doing it doesn’t hurt others?

I have to admit, I haven’t met many professionals. The work we pay them for… the hope we place into them and the values we somehow think they will be able to honor…this happens rarely.

Mostly we are lucky if the result is satisfying. But shouldn’t the professional exceed our expectations? Is this not a person we should learn from? Say or do things in a way we couldn’t…because we are not professionals, and that’s why we hire them in the first place. Right?

You should see my flat after renovation. At first glance, it looks nice…but the cabinets are not fixed, the water faucet links, the windows are not closing without a sound, and not to mention the paint on the walls.

And what when we pay a professional to build our website? But you get feedback that the subscription form doesn’t work…and You keep posting, but You get barely any subscribers…or worse, the pages are linked falsely and the downloads of your welcoming PDF gifts are not set, couldn’t be downloaded…

Or the Managing director of a company is corrupt and everything is done according to policies, but the money leaks and the profit is low and they are paid even more …..not to make money, but to cause less damage….At least it feels like.

Or hardworking employees are laid down, but managers are paid more….paradox. Something seems wrong.

Are those professionals? Are you a professional if you always under-deliver?…. but come to work and stay for 8 hours and lose time instead of gaining it by doing things right?

They came to work…made some steps in the business cycle, and were even nice to us for some time…but after these professionals, we still need help and the tasks are waiting for somebody to do them.

Or worse, they fake to be busy, so you don’t ask and they are so busy, that when You ask a charade of excuses starts coming from their mouths…
I have to be honest, I’m satiated by all these professionals offering nothing but excuses. Being not reliable or accountable, but still entitled to all You give or pay.
So are You a professional at least? Or do You think nobody sees the amount of “insufficient” that You offer…

Do You think people have a blindfold over their eyes, ears, and mouth? That everybody will tolerate Your “dolce far niente” at work or home, and You will again avoid the consequences and live on someone else’s account?

Here is what we should do. Start thinking. Then start planning and finishing all the obligations we agreed to, when we accepted a relationship or partnership.
Because it will come a day when all of us will put down the blindfolds and say “No more excuses!”.

Others will no longer cover for You. They will start to respect themselves enough to distance themselves from you.

Reliability, Quid pro quo (it means “something given or received for something else.”). The correct matter of respect is expected to be returned for a legitimate investment.

So, are You a professional, or do You cheat?
