Hello Darlings,
Today, I would like to discuss an important topic. I worked as a CEO for two financial institutions for a total of 17 years. Starting from scratch, I built my career, developed my C-suite personality, and managed my personal life to achieve the best possible results.
My intention in creating a blog and YouTube videos is to share my experience. What I always missed was a kind of mentor, therefore I became what I was missing – for my colleagues and friends.
To keep it simple and understandable I will just directly start by dividing 17 years of expertise into the following lessons I have learned:
The first lesson to learn as a young person it is to understand the people around You. We are not the center of the universe; our thoughts are not the thoughts of others, and our interpersonal success lies somewhere in between the need to satisfy all our stakeholder’s expectations and not losing ourselves. Therefore, learning about human psychology is crucial. Reading books that are going to help You reveal yourself first to yourself, and then to others was life-changing for me.
Second few years, it is important to understand the process of building organizational skills. They are the paradigm of efficiency and productivity in any endeavor, whether it’s in the workplace, or personal life. Time management is crucial, as it is choosing the right people, understanding the hierarchy, and building a suitable organizational chart with well-delegated jobs and accordingly well-suited job descriptions.
As a third lesson, I intensely recommend the importance of consistently prioritizing education and training as part of personal development. With new technologies, emerging generations, and evolving job types, change is inevitable. But even without these external factors, I’ve learned that cultivating an appealing personality is key to success in any life relationship.
The fourth lesson is about building health (both mental and physical) and our community. Be aware that living alone for some individuals is not a hardship, but for most is wrong and scary. Try to keep good relationships in your life by being a person of integrity, patience, and trust. People in our lives, if carefully chosen, bring us joy. Joy in life is essential.
